Student Suspended for Distribution of Controversial Facebook List

A male student at an Illinois high school gets suspended for distributing a list on Facebook that ranks 50 girls based on their physical appearance and promiscuity.

The male student, who also handed out the list in person at Oak Park-River Forest High School in Oak Park, Ill., wrote humiliating information next to each of the rankings, CBS Chicago reports.

The descriptions contained “racial slurs, hateful comments, comments on alleged promiscuity,” said Haley Rea, one of the high school students who was on the list.

However, some of the students cheered on the male student in his efforts, according to one of Rea’s friends.

A mother who did not want to be named contacted the media about the list and said the school had not released an official response and is not returning phone calls.
