MEDFORD, Ore. – Autopsies show that an Oregon mother and two of her four children were stabbed in the neck before firefighters found them in their burning house.
Medford police Lt. Bob Hansen announced Thursday that Tabasha Paige-Criado's cause of death was stab wounds to the neck and abdomen.
He says the autopsy lists the probable cause of death for all four of the young children as smoke inhalation. Stab wounds to the neck are listed as an additional cause of death for two of the boys — 6-year-old Isaac and 5-year-old Andrew.
Police say they believe the father, Jordan Adam Criado, killed his family and set the house on fire.
He has not regained consciousness and remains in guarded condition in a Medford hospital.
He has not been charged.
